Camping!!

The last weekend in April, we went on an overnight camping trip with families from our Bible study class. The weather was just about perfect and as we were packing up Saturday morning, I found myself wishing we had made plans to stay another night....but then when we woke up Sunday morning to the sound of rain I was so thankful to be in my cozy bed inside my house and not in a tent! We had a great time and are already talking about another class trip in the fall.

Robert and his little buddies:
They kept insisting that they weren't ticklish, just so he would try and prove them wrong!

Even though the water was really cold, that didn't keep the kids from spending the majority of their time in the lake.

Tentative steps into the cold water:

The kids soon discovered this seaweed like stuff on the bottom of the lake and proceeded to throw it all over each other. Yuck!

Five to one...not exactly even teams:

I can just see Camden shivering when I look at this picture:

Fun with shoes!

Warming up:

Can't wait until our next camping adventure!

Easter Post (finally!)

Well, obviously I'm way behind on blogging. There's been a lot going on and so I haven't felt like I've had a lot of time to blog, but it also means I have a lot to blog about, which leads me to feel overwhelmed, so when I have free minute I don't want to blog, yada, yada, yada...you get the picture. But, as my good friend Lauren (who is serving as a missionary in Peru) said about getting caught up on her blog, poco a poco (or little by little). So here's my first "little" attempt at catching up on my blog.

We had our annual Easter celebration at our apartment church the day before Easter. We started the event with some fun games and relays.

After the games and snacks, I had the priviledge of telling the Easter story:

This is one of my favorite pictures from the day - my boys and their friends listening to the story:

Next it was time for the egg hunt - tons of eggs this year!

After church on Easter Sunday, we headed to Nana and Papa's house for lunch and family time. I guess the kids aren't too old for hunting eggs yet:

(Especially when there's money in some of the eggs!)
