Mother's Day, Cullen's birthday, and end of school activities, field trips, parties, programs, and concerts...the saying "May is a mother's December" has never been more true for me than it was this year. Add to the regular "May"hem - dentist appointments for all the kids, a few doctor's appointments, a garage sale I decided to have in May (what was I thinking?!?), an unplanned visit to see Robert's grandfather who is in the final stages of pancreatic cancer, our continuing saga with our foundation, and some crazy Texas weather...let's just say I've never been happier to see summer vacation arrive! Here are pictures of some of our May goings-on:

Tornado as seen from our front porch (yes, I realize we should have been taking cover instead of taking pictures, but we didn't!) It's kind of hard to see in the picture, but it's right in the middle, just to the left of the tree (if you click on the picture, you can see it larger):

Nana and Papa with Kenna after her band concert:

Robert and Cullen with our neighbors, ready to leave for an overnight field trip to Austin:

Cullen was "Traveler #2" in his class play:

As soon as the kids got out of school last Thursday, we headed south for a mini vacation in the San Antonio area, including a relaxing float on the Comal River.

Happy Summer!!
