I have many great memories of my childhood, and one of them is making tents by draping sheets on the furniture. As you can see, my kids are carrying on the tradition. Sometime yesterday they built a tent in Cullen's room, later moved it to Camden's room, and then finally the nomads settled in Kenna's room for the night. We've been so busy all summer that it's been nice to be home some and see their creativity coming out more. I'm even more convinced than ever that we tend to overschedule our kids when they really need time to just play!

I also wanted to post this picture of my allergenic dog. Dixie is such a part of our family, but I don't post about her very often. She's been scratching a lot lately and last week the scratching was focused on her ears. So, I took her to the vet and she has yeast infections in both ears and just generally suffers from allergies, which causes her to scratch and chew on her feet a lot. She's ususally a low maintenance kind of dog, but that has changed this week. We're now giving her an oral steroid and drops in her ears twice a day. By the second time the drop treatment came around, she ran for the hills. She really doesn't like it (and neither do I!), but we go back to the vet tomorrow, so hopefully we're at the end of the dreaded ear drops.

Very cute pictures - brings back memories of making a boat out of the couch in FL.
Isn't that appropriate for Dixie to have allergies like the rest of the family! :) Poor Dixie!
