Singing Praises to God

The kids had their end of the year choir program at church last night. I am so grateful for their choir teachers who work with them each week to teach them about music and, more importantly, teach them about God.

Kenna and Cullen's choir presented a musical that was really well done. Kenna and Cullen both had small speaking parts and they did a great job!

Camden's choir sang 4 songs, including the song that Camden wrote the lyrics for and our music minister wrote the music for. I got this cute picture of Camden talking with Larry before the program started:

I still haven't figured out how to put a video directly in my post, so here's a link to one on YouTube of Camden's choir singing. It's the same song I linked to in my last post, just a new video of them at the program, with a neat introduction from our music minister.

Camden is enjoying all the attention he's getting from writing these lyrics (that shouldn't surprise anyone who knows him!). We've talked a lot about being humble and giving glory to God. In worship yesterday morning Camden wrote another song. It's not quite as catchy as the first one, but I still thought it was pretty good for a six year old. Here's what he wrote:

Oh be my savior
God if you weren’t, I would not be here.
But you are, so I’m here.
You’re my hero because you made me.
