For the past couple of months we've been having an After School Program one day a week at our apartment church. In addition to helping the kids with homework and just hanging out, we've been working on learning the verses of the "Roman Road" - Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:13, and Romans 10:9. Each week the kids have received a piece of candy for saying that week's verse.
Since this Tuesday was our last meeting for this year, I promised them a special prize if they could say all five verses in order. Last week Lisa wrote all the verses on paper and cut the words up so that they could practice putting them in order - they loved that and were so intent on getting the job done:

All of our kids were able to say all the verses on Tuesday - I was so proud of them!! Here are a couple of the kids with their prizes:

After everyone had said their verses, we went outside to celebrate the end of school with some water fun.

The kids favorite game was "gang up on the adults and get them totally soaked" - and they were very good at it! I had to wring out my "unmentionables" when I got home!

This After School Program has been a lot of fun and my kids can't wait to go each week. They're already asking if we're going to do it next school year. It's amazing to me how when I try to let God use me to bless others, He ends up giving
me the blessing instead! What an great God we serve!
