San Antonio, Part 2

We spent one day of our vacation at Fiesta Texas. It wasn't too crowded and they had quite a few rides that were "in between" - not little kid rides, but not too big either. None of my family (except me) likes roller coasters, so it was great having something that everyone wanted to do.

One of the favorites was "The Hustler", a spinning teacup-type ride. There was never much of a line at this one so we rode it several times:

I just about made myself sick trying to take pictures while the rest of the family worked to spin us as fast as possible, but I got a few great shots like this one. (I don't think there's anything better than seeing my family smile and laugh!)

Kenna and Robert were the only ones to brave "The Wagon Wheel":

Since the lines for most of the rides weren't too long, I ventured on my own a few times to ride some of the roller coasters and other rides that the rest of the family didn't want to do. On this boat ride, I was the only one in my boat. It felt a little silly, but it sure was fun!

The kids thought that drop looked a little too scary, but were happy to stand on the bridge at the end of the ride and get splashed. Robert stayed a safe distance away to take pictures.

The kids still love to meet the characters. I thought this picture with Scooby Doo was pretty good:

Fiesta Texas also has a water park and we spent the afternoon there when it got too hot to enjoy the rest of the park. Even though they both dislike heights, Cullen and Robert both enjoyed this racing slide. They are in the middle two lanes, Robert on the left and Cullen on the right. (You can click on the picture to see it larger).

As with the roller coasters, I had to go off on my own for the "big" water rides. This one required at least three people to ride, so this nice man and his two boys let me tag along with them:

After I rode with the family, there were two girls looking for a third person to ride with them. It was so much fun that I happily agreed to ride it with them!
