Happy Birthday, Camden!

Yesterday was Camden's 7th birthday. We had a full day of celebrating, so I have many pictures to share.

Camden's day started with breakfast in bed:

Then he opened some of his presents:
Several of his presents were for his room that we are redecorating in a monster theme. (Pictures of his room coming in a later post.)

We had Camden's dinosaur themed party at a nearby park. Rain was in the forecast all week, but it ended up being a very nice morning.

We took a lot of stale hot dog buns to feed the ducks:

Snack break:

I went the easy route this time and just did cupcakes:

The kids had fun pretending to be dinosaurs and chasing each other:

We had a treasure hunt. I made these really neat "treasure stones" that you can hide prizes in; ours contained small dinosaurs and coins. Camden had a little trouble breaking his open:

The highlight of the party was the pinata.
Camden and his friends all gave it a good try:

But in the end it was Cullen who knocked it down. He actually knocked it from its string and it didn't break apart, just fell to the ground:

Camden was trying to get the candy out for everyone, but I took over so he could grab for candy too:

In the evening, Nana, Papa, and Aunt Jennifer joined us for dinner. We re-lit Camden's candles and sang to him again; it was great ending to the day:
