Snow!!

On Monday of last week, we woke up to witness huge snow flakes falling - an unusual sight in Texas in early December.

Even though it only lasted a short while, enough snow fell to give the yard a sparse covering.

There was just enough snow for the kids to scoop it up and throw snowballs at each other. They enjoyed a few minutes of fun with our neighbors before heading off to school.

Kenna even managed to make a snowman. I made sure not to crop out the tiny raisin box in the picture, so there would be a reference point for the size of her snowman. Too cute!

By 11:00 all the snow was melted and you wouldn't have even guessed it had been there - that's my kind of snow day!

That snowman looks like an alien - where's his nose? and his buttons? and his mouth? Guess he's just too small...
