On our first day (Saturday the 22nd), we visited the Animal Kingdom park. It's a cross between an amusement park and a zoo. We got to go on an "African" safari and saw many animals, including giraffes, hippos, lions, and crocodiles, to name few. We also rode some amazing rides like "Expedition Everest" (a roller coaster that only Robert, my dad, and I braved) and "Dinosaur" (a scary trip into the past that we knew would be too intense for the boys, so Robert sat that one out with them). The kids enjoyed playing in a neat area called "The Boneyard" with dinosaur bones for them to dig for and also slides and bridges and such.
We met a few characters like Chip and Dale:

And Baloo and King Louis from the Jungle Book:

There are neat things around every corner, like these bongo drums:

We all rode the "Triceratop Spin", which is basically a dinosaur version of the well known "Dumbo" ride of the Magic Kingdom. The boys really loved this one:

We saw a couple of shows. The scenery and costuming just amazed me. My favorite show from all the theme parks was "Finding Nemo: the Musical". (There was no photography allowed, so I didn't get any pictures, but it was such a great show.) We also saw "The Festival of the Lion King" which was also very well done and entertaining:
