The group ready for our Saturday morning hike:
The trail was a little more ambitious than we had anticipated, but everyone did great - even the two dogs and the two year old daughter of one of the families we were with.
There were plenty of rocks to climb around, and through, and on.
Texas wildflowers and beautiful views of the lake.
Saturday afternoon was plenty warm to spend time swimming in the lake:
After we had been swimming awhile we saw some people get out and start pulling something off their children - turns out they had leeches! But, thankfully, none of us came out of the lake with any extra critters on us!
While we didn't bring any leeches home, everyone came home with a few scrapes, bruises, and bug bites - but Camden won the prize; he fell off his bike and landed face first in gravel - OUCH!

Oh poor Camden!! Looks like ya'll had fun though! We DO need to plan a get together! We are leaving for vacation on Saturday and won't be back until the next Sat night. I'll email you when I return and see what works for both of us!!
